Alaska Air National Guard Rescue Squadrons conduct precision parachute training at JBER

An Alaska Air National Guardsman assigned to the 212th Rescue Squadron descends after jumping from a HC-130J Combat King II operated by the 211th Rescue Squadron during precision parachute training over Malemute drop zone at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Jan. 24, 2018. In a combat theater, members of the 210th, 211th and 212th Rescue Squadrons primarily conduct personnel recovery operations. Back at home the Alaska Air National Guard rescue squadrons are part of a network of search-and rescue organizations that save hundreds of lives in and around Alaska every year.
