e-Guardian

The e-Guardian is an easy-to-read, twice-monthly digest of news and announcements that relate to the members of the 176th Wing. It is all the information you want, compiled in one place and conveniently delivered to your home or work e-mail account.

Subscribing to the e-Guardian is purely voluntary. Subscribers receive two digests per month: One about halfway between UTAs, and the other a few days before a UTA.

The digest looks something like this.

PRIVACY

You can safely use your primary e-mail address to subscribe. We will never give it out to anyone else, for any reason, period. No matter how nicely they ask.

You may also easily unsubscribe from the e-Guardian at any time.

SUBSCRIBING

As noted, you may receive the digest at your home or work e-mail address. However, you must activate the subscription using your military e-mail address. This is so we can ensure that only wing members are subscribing.

Also, please subscribe using only one e-mail address. If you want it delivered to your work AND home, just set up a rule or filter in one e-mail account that automatically makes a copy and forwards it to your other account. Pretty much any modern e-mail program should be able to do this; check the program's "help" for instructions.

Subscribing is easy. From your military e-mail account, just send an e-mail to the following e-mail address: 176th Wing Public Affairs

The subject of the e-mail should simply be the word "subscribe" (without quotes). The body of the e-mail should just be the e-mail address you want the digest sent to.

Like this:

FROM:  youremail@us.af.mil
TO:  [e-mail address in graphic, above]
SUBJECT:  subscribe

BODY:  Please send the eGuardian to this e-mail address: youremail@homeorwork.com

That's it!

UNSUBSCRIBING

You may unsubscribe at any time. Just send an e-mail to the above e-mail address with the word "unsubscribe" (without quotes) as the subject line, and the e-mail address you wish to unsubscribe in the body. (Note: To unsubscribe, you do not need to use a military e-mail address.)

4. All local items must have ONE point-of-contact, with telephone number and/or e-mail.

7. No "for sale" or other personal ads.

8. Any submission may be rejected or edited for security, accuracy, propriety, protocol or clarity.

Send submissions to the e-mail address above, with the subject line "submission".
