About us

Military public affairs serves four purposes:

  • Provide trusted counsel to leaders
     
  • Build, maintain and strengthen Airman morale and readiness
     
  • Enhance public trust and support
     
  • Achieve global influence and deterrence
In a nutshell, our primary mission to keep the public informed as to the wing's requirements, capabilities, actions and achievements. Our secondary mission is to disseminate important information and leadership messages to wing members. These missions are accomplished through a variety of internal and external communications programs. (Hint: You're looking at one of them right now!)

The Public Affairs Office also oversees the wing's historical records and its multimedia center.


Parent unit

As a part of the 176th Wing Staff, the Public Affairs Office reports directly to the wing commander and vice commander.
