Col. Marvin T. Ee took command of the 176th Wing's 176th Mission Support Group in a ceremony here May 15, 2016. He joins the 176th Wing from the Eielson-based 168th Wing, where since 2013 he had served as commander of the 168th Maintance Group.

"I'm thrilled, excited and motivated and pumped up," said Ee. "I look forward to serving all of you."

"You're taking command of an excellent group," said Col. Blake Gettys, commander of the 176th Wing, in his remarks introducing Ee. "Welcome to the group."

Ee graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. In addition, he has a master's degree in engineering and environmental management from the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH; and a master's degree in pastoral ministry from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, IN. He has deployed four times in support of Operations Southern Watch, Pony Express, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, respectively.

Ee takes over command of the 176 MSG from Col. Patty Wilbanks, who has led the Group since 2011.
