LANAI, Hawaii -- Military members participate in a Lanai youth project here June 7, 2013, learning to canoe in traditional-style Hawaiian outriggers. Members were invited after speaking to the youth and teaching them some military physical training. Over 540 military personnel from multiple components of the Air Force, Army and Navy gathered on four Hawaiian Islands at six sites as part of a joint training mission called TROPIC CARE 2013 – an Innovative Readiness Training project June 4 to 12, 2013, to care for medically-underserved Hawaiians.
