Duathlon
JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska - Capt. Shane Garling with the 176th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, takes off for the bike riding portion of the 176th Wing's duathlon, July 16, 2001. The duathlon was created to help encourage a culture of fitness and esprit de corps within the wing and was sponsored by the Kulis Senior Enlisted Association. The event kicked off the "Kulis Family" Block Picnic, an annual wing get-together with co-workers and family. The course was roughly a 1.5 mile run, five mile bike ride and then a mile run to finish.
