Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska - Major Christopher Borger, the 176th Wing's deployment officer with the 176th Logistics Plans and Integration Office, receives his flag award from Brig. Gen. Charles Foster, commander of the 176th Wing and Chief Master Sgt. David Streit, command chief of the 176th Wing during the Wing's annual awards ceremony, Apr. 16, 2011. Borger was a tier-two Hometown Heroes award recipient for his 185-day Kuwait deployment. He was deployed from June to December 2010 and was the Expeditionary Combat Support Flight Commander for the 467 AEG (Air Expeditionary Group). He conducted JRSOI (Joint Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration) for all IA (Individual Augmentee) and JET (Joint Expeditionary Tasked) airmen going to Iraq in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn.
