KULIS AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Alaska ? This training, C-130 integral fuel tank is used by the 176th Maintenance Squadron, Alaska Air National Guard to practice repair techniques on the aircraft?s fuel systems. The technicians work in two-member teams with one person inside the tank and another on the outside to hand and trade tools and to provide safety back-up for the person on the inside. During an eight-hour day, technician can work up to four hours inside the tank and it can take a week?s worth of time to complete a repair. Alaska Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt.
