Pacific Airlift Rally leaves Alaska and lessons
Participants and support personnel of Pacific Airlift Rally 2015 watch as Alaska Army Guardsmen jump from an active-duty C-17 Globemaster III on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 27. The personnel drop was part of a demonstration of disaster relief capabilities, a manifestation of the logistical plans made in the command post exercise portion of PAR. PAR is a biennial, military airlift symposium sponsored by Pacific Air Forces for nations of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The 2015 rally was hosted by the Alaska Air Guard's 176th Wing Aug. 24 to 28. (U.S. National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt N. Alicia Halla/ Released)
