Terry Whittington, 167th Airlift Wing, operates a K-loader to load arctic equipment Feb. 23, 2022, on a 144th Airlift Squadron C-17 Globemaster III at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Though the K-loader is effective at established bases, replicating its capabilities at austere locations spurred the 176th Wing to begin developing the Rapid Yeti Logistics Operations Device.
